MEDIA session 2

In this class, we learned about Journalism of fashion. Interviewing is a very important thing in this industry, whether it is fashion week, brand interviews… etc. all need to rely on Journalism.

This class is a good opportunity for us because we can learn about the footwear made by each other and our classmates. In fact, everyone has a lot of content that they want to share about their own works. When we hear other people’s ideas, we can also see their works from different perspective.

In addition to interviews, we also tried to layout the interviews that we write. I used to think that the layout of magazines was quite formal, because I didn’t seem to pay attention to the layout when I read magazines like Vogue in the past. But seeing a lot of good-looking formats in class made me realize that we can actually show the personality of the interviewees through format.

Furthermore, we need to think about the work of PR. I think this is a position that requires a lot of creativity. We want to think of a variety of marketing tactics or activities that can attract customers. I had several experiences in helping brands organize events in Taiwan in the past. Although those are not fashion brands, I think there are many elements that can be used in common. For example, customers like the concept of “limited” and “VIP”. Such elements can be combined with pop stores to make customers with different consuming abilities interested.
